Skydiving for Alzheimer's Society!

Mark Hodge’s wife, Rachel, and daughter, Phoebe, are taking part in the Alzheimer's Society Skydive in March 2022!

Alzheimer’s Society is the UK’s leading dementia charity and dementia is the UK’s biggest killer. Someone develops it every three minutes and there’s currently no cure.

Phoebe says, ‘We are jumping  in memory of my grandmother, Mary, who we sadly said goodbye to in November 2020, 2 days after she turned 89. She, and we, had been living with her dementia for over 10 years.

The last year was particularly hard due to Covid. We were not able to see her in person as much as we would have liked, however I was able to care for her during her last summer - knowing she had family close was such a blessing to my family. We live in the knowledge that one day we will meet again, and it will be a joyful reunion.

Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever. Until the day a cure is found, Alzheimer's Society aims to  create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.

If you would like to support them, please do so through the Phoebe’s Just Giving link:

Thank you.
