Thwaites Super-Vis dumper a winner for RGW Plant

With the help of CBL, Randall Plant Hire (RGW Plant) based in Abergavenny, Wales has taken delivery of 6 x Thwaites 7-ton Super-Vis dumpers and 2 x 3-ton power swivel machines.

RGW has a long-standing relationship with Thwaites, developed over the last twenty years when the company bought their very first machine. Around ten years ago, RGW took the decision to invest in a rental fleet of their own, enabling the business to serve and satisfy both their existing contracts in the groundworks, housing, civil and infrastructure markets, in addition to hiring onto the open market.

The choice of the 7-ton Super-Vis cabbed dumper from Thwaites was driven by the quality build, unique design with the reliability and additional safety features that improve visibility and reduce risk on site.

Rob Tierney of RGW said, ‘Whilst we have a good relationship with Thwaites. I wanted to conduct a thorough search of the market to find the best cabbed dumper out there. Key to this search was that here in South Wales and the valleys we have some incredibly rough terrain that we ask these machines to work in. Not all the machines we looked at had the same ground clearance as the Thwaites machine nor were they built on such a strong chassis’.

CBL Regional Director John Elliott commented, ‘We have a relationship that extends further than that of Thwaites with RGW. I am delighted therefore that when we gave RGW Plant a demo machine, that they immediately recognised its value, and the business chose these Thwaites 7-ton Super-Vis dumpers’.

Thwaites Distribution Manager (South) Paul Rodwell said, ‘It was a pleasure to support CBL with this deal and I am delighted that we were able to invite Rob and Kelly to become the first customers to be welcomed to the Thwaites factory for a tour and visit since the lockdown restrictions were eased’.
