CBL (Clive Barford Ltd) : trainee Parts/Service Advisor at our centre in Portbury Dock (near the Gordano services junction M5)

This is a customer-facing, office-based position and is a great opportunity for a trainee to start their career in a busy and people-focused sector with excellent career opportunities. The successful candidate will be working in an office with a friendly team, responsible for ensuring that customers receive the highest level of customer service in our parts & service business. Most customers are long-term repeat customers, so the ability to develop strong working relationships is essential.

Responsibilities  
Manage incoming calls and enquiries from customers.
Provide guidance to customers, developing long-term relationships.
Process parts orders, service invoicing, and arrange deliveries.
Work well with other team members.

This is a permanent role, Monday – Friday, 42.5 hours per week.

CBL (Clive Barford Ltd) : Experienced HGV Driver (Class 1 or 2 to drive beavertail plant lorry) at our centre in Pyle, Bridgend, South Wales

Valid HGV licence essential, experience in loading and unloading construction machinery preferred.

This is a permanent, full-time role, Monday to Friday, 42½ hours per week but you must be flexible with regard to hours due to the nature of the work.

You will be responsible for the successful delivery and collection of plant as well as ensuring the working order of your vehicle and safely securing all loads carried. Duties also include: planning delivery schedules and routes; loading and unloading plant machinery; making sure loads are safely secured; following traffic reports and altering your route if necessary; completing delivery paperwork.

CBL (Clive Barford Ltd) : Mobile Service Engineer covering South Wales & Bristol

Your role will be to service, maintain and repair our hire fleet which are the leading brands in their field. As we are the main dealer for Takeuchi Mini Excavators, Thwaites Dumpers, Bomag Compaction, Atlas Copco & Epiroc, you will expected to carry out warranty work plus service & repair our customers machinery. We will provide the successful candidate with excellent training opportunities.

This is a permanent role, Monday – Friday, 42.5 hours per week.

The right candidate must be adaptable with good problem-solving & communication skills to work closely with our depot teams, customers & manufacturers.

You will need the following skills / abilities for the role of fitter / service engineer:
Experience in servicing and repairing manufacturers plant equipment.
Experienced in diesel engines, hydraulics, pneumatics and electrical systems.
Trained to NVQ level 2 or 3 Plant Maintenance preferred (but not essential)
Work effectively within a team.
Have your own tools.
