Hire Manager required at our centre in Thatcham Berkshire

This is a full time/permanent role to support the Depot Manager at our Newbury centre and working with him to assist the management/supervisor team in the smooth running of the depot, yard and workshop, predominantly with the hire and transport department but ultimately spread across all our departments. 

The ideal candidate should have experience within the Construction Hire Industry and a sales and customer service ethos. Some knowledge on HGVs and health and safety culture within the construction trade is preferable, but not essential. 
The successful candidate will be working alongside various department managers, assisting them to achieve their targets, implement new and proven practices and provide support with their customer, supplier and staffing requirements. 
You will need to work well in a team and be self-motivated, work well under pressure whilst keeping customer service as your top priority and promoting a good health and safety culture. 
Training will be given where needed and there will be opportunities for promotion as well as other company benefits within this well established and respected business.

Salary: Competitive, plus pension and life assurance.  Hours: Monday to Friday 07:30 – 17:00 (42.5hrs per week) with occasional evenings and weekends.

Area Hire Manager at our centre in Thatcham Berkshire

Required at our centre in Thatcham, Berkshire representing our hire business covering Newbury and outlying areas.  Selling experience and knowledge of the construction industry is preferred. The right attitude is essential.

The successful candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills, a talent for problem solving, be customer focused and sales driven.

You must show the drive to motivate yourself on a daily basis, at times setting your own targets and reporting to the Depot Manager your achievements. This directly affects the achievements of the internal teams, the Thatcham depot and the company as a whole.

This is a permanent role, Monday to Friday, 42.5 hours per week, 8.00 a.m. to 5 p.m. 

Includes an excellent remuneration package including bonus based on performance, pension, life assurance, company car, phone and laptop with good product and procedure training and career opportunities.

Service Engineer (mobile) vacancy at our centre in Thatcham, Berkshire

Your role will be to service, maintain and repair our hire fleet and customers' machines and carry out warranty work on agency products.

This is a permanent role, Monday – Friday, 42.5 hours per week.

You would work as part of a workshop and mobile based team in a very busy and changeable environment, whilst communicating well with our Parts, Hire and Sales departments. The right candidate must be adaptable with good problem-solving skills. The company will provide the successful candidate with excellent training opportunities.

You will need the following skills / abilities for the role of workshop fitter / service engineer:

Experience in servicing and repairing various contractors’ plant equipment
Experienced in diesel engines, hydraulics, pneumatics and electrical systems
Trained to NVQ level 2 or 3 Plant Maintenance preferred (but not essential)
Work effectively within a team
Have a full driving licence 
Have your own tools 
Work effectively within a team
