Going electric - Audi Q4 e-trons for CBL

This day has been a long time coming!  Mark Hodge, CBL Operations Director, and Christian Lawrence, CBL Finance Director, started discussing CBL’s fleet requirements and the transition to more electric vehicles back in 2018 when the first Audi e-tron was launched. 

However, it wasn’t until 2021 when belatedly, due to the Covid pandemic, the Audi Q4 e-tron was launched.  CBL have installed EV charge points in all depots ready for the arrival of 14 Q4’s over the next couple of months.  Most of the cars are expected to do 20,000 miles per year.   

The photo shows Stephen Humphreys from Truro Audi handing over the keys for the first batch of Audi Q4 e-trons to Mark Hodge. 

Stephen gave a huge thank you to Mark and Christian for their patience as, due to the war in Ukraine starting only a few months after the order was placed, the disruption this caused to the supply chain meant these cars arriving a year later than originally expected!  Fortunately, Audi’s lease company VWFS Fleet has been able to extend many existing leases and even provide medium term rental cars as necessary.
